14-16"Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.
I love this illustration that is given in the Bible about being a light for Christ and how we are instructed to be going public with it to bring out the God colors in this world as the Message translation up above reads. I started about a year and a half ago slowly letting my God colors shine. This is very exciting and sad all at the same time, you see I have been a Christian my whole life, I committed my life to Him when I was just a little girl, but the sad part is I was never letting my God colors shine. I went to church, taught Sunday School and all the things people do when they are Christians, but I was under a bucket and was not confessing Him to the world that needs to hear of Him so desperately.
32 “Whoever publicly acknowledges me I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven"
We need to let our God colors shine like a rainbow beacon for all those around us. To show by Word, Action and Deed, to be the Hands and Feet of Christ for a world that is just crying out to know Him. I did this slowly by first putting a post on Face Book, I was scared my friends would think that I had become a "Crazy Fanatic". This led to a lady in my church coming up to me, telling she was seeing a change in me and would I like to be a part of a small group, one thing led to another and that summer I was teaching a Bible Study Class!! It has been quite a roller coaster ride since I have started sharing my God colors and I am so excited to see where He is going to want me to go to let my light (which I have now taken my bucket off of) SHINE for Him. God is so good and His plans just really are what is best for us. Do not move slowly like I did. In fact why don't you pray about it, and let Him use you to show this world your God colors and SHINE BRIGHT for HIM!! =)

Dear Heavenly Father, Please be patient with us as we try to SHINE as bright as the sun, go public for you and show the world our God color's. We love you Lord Jesus and just want you to show You to a world that needs you so desperately. In His name Amen
